ChatGPT: System failure prevents sending messages
Artificial intelligence platform faces technical problems
This Thursday, March 7, 2024, users reported problems accessing ChatGPT. Unlike common errors on the platform, this time, when trying to send a prompt to the chatbot, it doesn’t even respond with an error message.
Apparently the problem started around 9am and has not yet been fixed.
Generally, when ChatGPT is down, it tends to not load the conversation history or respond with an error message. However, this time, the chat is able to show the history and login is done normally. However, sending a message does not generate any visual effect, and it does not even appear in the list of sent messages.

The website Downdetector reported a huge spike in reports of problems around 9:00 PM.

The momentary problem apparently was resolved around 10:00 pm according to the Downdetector graph. To use ChatGPT again, we usually had to clear the browser cache.
